Marine Drive is a picturesque promenade in the city of Kochi..The view of the setting and rising sun over the sea mouth, and the gentle breeze from the Vembanad Lake has made Marine Drive an important tourist destination in Kochi.It is one of the best night outs in kochi.It is around 10km away from fortkochi Beach.The view from this spot is really awsome.There is many ice cream and juice shops which is opened for 24hrs.We can see all age groupe peoples there not only teenagers ,we can see many families too.There is an amazing walkway which is stretched upto 4kms,with 2,3 bridges.The walkway is perfect to enjoy a relaxing stroll at any time of the day. Cars aren't allowed on the walkway and people can therefore enjoy the natural view in peace.

It is situated along the edge of backwaters that begins from behind the Children's Park ending at the Shanmugham Road. It is surfaced with black-dotted, red-carpet ultra tiles. Wooden benches, cast-ironed, weather-proof seating on ash grey tiles offers utmost relaxation.One side of the walkway is fully occupied by trees and it gives much relaxation and shade from the sun,and has build the sitting area around the tree's.At day you can see many street vendor walking all around selling food,toys and other produts.Here we can taste plenty of street foods and there is one of the famous drink in kochi "KULUKKI SARBATH". It is a soft drink made with lemon and few other ingredients.Its a perfect summer refreshing drink also. It has special taste of sweetness along with spicy and tangy.All the people who visits Marine drive wont leave without drinking a kulukki :) .

The best time for boating in the Marine Drive is undoubtedly the late evenings and nights.The boat timing starts from 10am to 8pm.There is goverment boat service from marine drive to major places in kochi like FortKochi and Mattancherry,at a very cheap cost of 3Rs.For private boating it cost around 200 to 500rs per head.
